CONFERENCEThe goal of the Council’s activities is to coordinate and provide advice on the implementation of the University of Latvia’s sustainable development principles in the field of environment and ecology, including the involvement of the University of Latvia’s academic and general staff in the development and implementation of the University’s strategic environmental sustainability framework, as well as to promote the University of Latvia’s participation in the Eco-Campus programme and equivalent sustainability assessment and certification systems.
The Council is responsible for the implementation of the steps of the Eco-Campus programme and for promoting environmental and student interests within the University, in cooperation with the University of Latvia Student Council.
